Finished tattoo

Finally after a long wait, we are settled in to our new place in Victoria and I got my tattoo finished! Leigh from the Union Tattoo did an amazing job, not that it didn't hurt like hell, but it was well worth the pain. 6 hours in total invested into this piece, its beautiful and I am really happy with it!

Uh oh.....two more till thirty. Such a scary feeling...not the getting older part, as I am really looking forward to finally being in my thirties and maybe being taken seriously for once! Welcome to Sooke, BC

This is the ad on the sign at Buffy's Pub in sooke, a well known local hang out.... can get a bit rough in there I have been told. We pulled in here to pick up a 24 before heading out to the cabin for the weekend and had a good giggle at the sign. Just what everyone needs, beer and chainsaws!

Took a trip around the island this weekend, went up to Coombs, and to Deep Cove. It was great getting to spend some time with my mom. Haven't had the chance to make it to Coombs in years, it was still as quaint as I remembered and the mini doughnuts were still as hot and sweet! We also spent some time in Cathedral Grove, but a lot of the trees were down from the last big storm they had. Can't wait for our next island adventure together.

Black and whites

I have been playing around with the idea of taking more black and white shots. I love how they can make almost anything seem timeless and artistic. Really I should just be getting out there and taking as many photos as I can. Yet time seems to escape me every day....excuses excuses I know!

Amazing

This has to be hands down one of my favorite shots of a dragon fly that I have ever seen, the colour is amazing. It is so beautiful that I can't help but share it with all of you!
